We stand is looking for Trustees with specific skills and experience to join our committed and dynamic Board.

We Stand supports parents and carers whose children have experienced sexual abuse. We are a small, values‑driven charity rooted in compassion, dignity, and practical support. Our board plays a central role in shaping a safe, inclusive, and trauma‑informed organisation.

It is a great time to join us as we embark on developing our new strategy for 2027-2030. Our focus is on putting the needs of those we support at the heart of everything we do, with a clear commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. Our new strategy will embed lived experience at the core of decision making and further build a sustainable and robust organisation.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who:

  1. Have Lived Experience of CSA: Personal or professional direct and indirect experience of CSA or using CSA-related services

  2. Bring lived experience or perspectives that are currently under‑represented on our Board, including (but not limited to) people from Asian communities, Muslim communities, and disabled people.

Role 1: Trustee

Location: Remote with occasional London meetings

Time commitment: Approx. 6-8 hours per month

Remuneration: Voluntary (expenses covered)

We are currently seeking trustees with the following skills and experience which we have identified as gaps on our Board.

  1. Technology and Digital: Knowledge of the digital landscape including AI, understanding of digital transformation for charities and opportunities within the charity sector

  2. Legal: Knowledge of charity law and/ or expertise around private family law, particularly as it applies to cases of CSA.

  3. Finance: Understanding of charity finance, risk management, and legal compliance.

Role 2: Treasurer (Trustee)

Location: Remote with occasional London meetings

Time commitment: Approx.  8-16 hours per month

Remuneration: Voluntary (expenses covered)

We are seeking a Board Treasurer with the following Financial Expertise:

  1. Professional experience in finance, accountancy, audit, or charity financial management.

  2. Confidence in reviewing management accounts, cashflow forecasts, and year‑end financial statements.

  3. Ability to interpret financial information clearly for non‑finance trustees and support informed decision‑making.
