Early in 2026, We Stand carried out a comprehensive survey and follow up consultation, exploring the experiences, needs, and priorities of non‑abusing parents and carers whose children have been sexually abused.
The data reveals a stark and consistent picture: families navigating child sexual abuse (CSA)—particularly intrafamilial abuse—face profound emotional, practical, and systemic challenges, and often struggle to access the specialist, trauma‑informed support they urgently need.
Thank you to all of the parents and carers who contributed to the survey and consultations. We truly appreciate the time and emotional energy it takes to share your experiences and expertise.
