We have a variety of volunteering opportunities available.

All our volunteers receive in depth training and ongoing support; those working directly with clients also receive clinical supervision with an experienced therapist.

Helpline volunteers

As a helpline volunteer you will be the first point of contact for people calling our busy helpline. You will provide non-judgemental, empathetic support and advice to callers, and ensure that they are provided with information and onward referrals into our other services.

You don’t need any prior training or experience for this role. All we ask is that you can listen compassionately, can provide a safe and non judgemental space for callers to share their challenges, have open and honest communication, and have basic computer skills.

We recruit helpline volunteers year-round and run training three times a year.

We are particularly interested in volunteers who have expertise of the needs of minoritized communities and those who speak community languages.

Therapeutic volunteers

Our counselling services are supported by volunteer counsellors/therapists and counsellors/therapists on placement.

As a therapeutic volunteer, you will help people affected by child sexual abuse explore and process their feelings around the issues that impact them.
